Water Service Charge: $45.00 per quarter
Water gallon use: $1.00 per thousand gallons

Outside Village Limits:
Water Service Charge: $90.00 per quarter
Water gallons: $1.20 per 1,000 gallons

Sewer:
Sewer-Use Charges (effective 12/10)
A sewer connection fee of $25.00 is charged for new taps.

Residential (Based on first quarter usage):
Sewer Service Charge: $15.00 per month
$ .75 per 1,000 gallons of water used

Commercial (Based on first quarter usage):
Sewer Service Charge: $15.00 per month

Solid Waste Disposal (effective 12/10):

Two People: $12.25 per month

Commercial:
One Pickup: $13.25 or $17.75 with dumpster per week
Two pickups: $22.75 or $32.75 with dumpster per week
Home Business: $13.25 for one pickup per week

Streets:
There are 10 miles of streets in Petersburg, 8 miles of which are hard-surfaced with concrete or asphalt. Ten percent of the streets have curbs and 50 percent have sidewalks. Street maintenance includes patching, grading, armor coating, crack filling, and snow removal. Street improvements completed annually include armor coating some of the streets. These improvements are funded by the city at an estimated cost of $10,000 to $15,000.
